(UPDATED: 6 P.M.) ATLANTA — Mike Pelfrey goes for his eighth win of the season here tonight when the Mets face the Braves in a second game of a four-game series at Turner Field.

Pelfrey has won two of his past three decisions, including an encouraging three-run, seven-inning outing last Sunday at Citi Field against the Reds. The big right-hander is 2-3 with a 5.08 ERA in his career against Atlanta.

Pelfrey will square off against Braves righty Jair Jurrjens, who is 7-7 despite toting an impressive 2.91 ERA. Jurrjens is 2-1 with a 3.51 ERA in four career starts against the Mets, although his last win against them was May 21, 2008, in Atlanta. Here is the 42-46 Mets’ order for the 7:35 p.m. game:
