CHICAGO — Joe Girardi put a little twist into his starting lineup for Friday’s 2:20 p.m. start at Wrigley Field, starting Brett Gardner in left field against lefty Doug Davis instead of Andruw Jones.
Gardner will hit eighth. Jones has been Girardi’s regular left fielder vs. lefties all year.
