In his first game back in The Bronx since being traded to the Twins, Gary Sanchez made himself right at home in a loud way.

The former Yankees catcher demolished a 473-foot, two-run home run off Jameson Taillon in his second at-bat on Monday afternoon. The moonshot hit off the top of the bleachers in left field and tied the game at two in the fifth inning.

It marked the fourth-longest home run in MLB this season. The top three were all hit at Coors Field, where baseballs are known to fly in the high elevation.

The homer was Sanchez’s 14th of the season after he entered Monday hitting .213 with a .675 OPS.

Sanchez spent parts of seven seasons with the Yankees – highlighted by his 33-home run season in 2017, which included a career-long 493-foot blast in Detroit. But this March, the Yankees traded him along with Gio Urshela to the Twins for Josh Donaldson, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Ben Rortvedt.

The Yankees played a short tribute video for Sanchez and Urshela between the top and bottom of the second inning, drawing an applause from the crowd.

While Urshela got cheers any time he was introduced on Monday, Sanchez received a mix of cheers and some boos.
