The Boss is always watching.
A mural showcasing the face of George Steinbrenner looked on as Yankees ace Gerrit Cole exercised in the right-field bleachers Monday at The Stadium.
The moment — captured by Post chief sports photographer Charles Wenzelberg — took place on the 10th anniversary of Steinbrenner’s death due to a heart attack at age 80.
Cole’s nine-year, $324 million contract signed this winter was no-doubt Steinbrenner-esque, as the former Yankees owner’s reputation was largely built on spending the big bucks to acquire marquee free agents.
The 29-year-old Cole is expected to be on the mound when the Yankees are scheduled to open up their season July 23 against the Nationals in Washington.
