Giancarlo Stanton’s broken face is improving – and he posted the photos to prove it.

The Marlins slugger posted photos on Instagram of his face from Sept. 11 — the night he was drilled — and from this morning. It’s improving, though it resembles the Tom Cruise character from “Vanilla Sky.”

Stanton was hit flush in the face with a pitch by Brewers right-hander Mike Fiers. He immediately began bleeding and writhing on the ground in pain. The National League home run leader and MVP candidate was carted off the field, suffering substantial facial fractures, lacerations and dental damage.
