Take a stand — a homestand — for the Metamucils. In first place when Francisco Lindor went on the IL, the Amazin’s are now in third looking up at Atlanta and Philly as Lindor returns. With 38 games left, the Mets need to get on a roll. The problem is, Frisco’s in town.

The Giants’ Johnny Cueto (7-6, ERA 3.89) has been hittable. Cueto has surrendered five runs over his last 10 ¹/₃ innings and has won once in his last seven outings. The Mets’ Taijuan Walker (7-8, ERA 3.86) is winless in his last seven. Walker is tough to figure. He shows flashes of brilliance, but maybe his career record (42-42) paints a more accurate picture. The Mets, arguably the most overrated team in MLB, play well at home. The Giants, arguably the best team in MLB, play well everywhere. We will take the more desperate team. Play 20 units on the Mets.

What a Bum! Bucs 4, D’backs 2. Madison Bumgarner responsible for all four runs. I assume JT Brubaker hasn’t pitched that well since grade school. Down -1,177 brandonwebbs.
