First blemish
Jonathan Loaisiga gave up his first run of spring training when Pat Valaika took him deep for a solo home run in the fifth inning. The reliever had tossed 8 ¹/₃ scoreless innings before Saturday.
Caught my eye
When Mike King gave up a double with no outs in the third inning, it snapped a streak of 10 ²/₃ straight no-hit innings by Yankees starters.
Sunday’s schedule
