PORT ST. LUCIE -– Continuing the Mets’ run of bad luck with injuries, Ruben Gotay right ankle might be more seriously hurt than first thought. The backup infielder was fitted with a cast today and will undergo a CT scan on the ankle here tomorrow morning after team doctors became concerned about a potential fracture they saw on the initial X-rays.

Gotay was injured while sliding into home with the go-ahead run in the ninth inning of Sunday’s 6-5 win over the Dodgers in Vero Beach.
