ARLINGTON, Texas — Curtis Granderson, a .300 career hitter against Rangers starter Cliff Lee, is not in the Yankees starting lineup tonight against the ace left-hander.

Brett Gardner is in center field with Austin Kearns the starter in left.

Robinson Cano (cold) and Jorge Posada (shoulder) return to the lineup, but the Yankees still are without Mark Teixeira, at home after the birth of his son.

Teixeira will rejoin the team Thursday in Kansas City.
