FORT LAUDERDALE — Mike Pelfrey looks to bounce back from an unexpectedly awful outing earlier this week against the Astros when the Mets take on the Orioles here today in Grapefruit League action. Pelfrey, who had allowed just four earned runs in his first four spring outings combined, had a meltdown last Tuesday in Kissimmee, Fla., against Houston. The big right-hander gave up six runs on 10 hits and a walk in just 4 2/3 innings.

Here is the Mets’ order for the 1:05 p.m. game, which is NOT being televised by SNY or PIX-11:

Marlon Anderson LF

Luis Castillo 2B

Jeremy Reed CF

Fernando Tatis 3B

Ryan Church DH

Nick Evans 1B

Bobby Kielty RF

Brian Schneider C

Alex Cora SS

Also scheduled to pitch for the Mets are RHP Sean Green, RHP Brian Stokes, LHP Casey Fossum, RHP Roydrick Merritt and RHP Tim McNab.

Pelfrey will be opposed by heralded Japanese import Koji Uehara, a righty who has allowed four earned runs in his first four spring appearances with the Orioles (10 2/3 innings). Uehara’s presence means the Japanese media will be here in droves today. And we do mean “droves.”
