The legend of Matt Harvey continues to grow.

According to a Yahoo report, the young ace nearly came to blows with Jon Rauch after the former Mets reliever dumped ice water on a napping Harvey last season. Harvey’s phone was ruined in the incident and the rookie jumped up to challenge the 6’11 Rauch, who backed away.

“I’m not gonna discuss it,” Harvey told the website after pitching the Mets to the first of two wins against the Braves on Tuesday, as his phenomenal first half continued.

Rauch only spent one season in New York as the Mets opted not to re-sign the reliever. H’e posted a 7.56 ERA with the Marlins and was signed by the Orioles to a minor-league contract on June 1.
