Welcome to Opening Day. Be terrified, hitters.
A photo is making the rounds that allegedly shows the damage an Aroldis Chapman fastball does to the body, where it more leaves a hole than a mark.
Self-titled pitching coach Rob Friedman posted the photo of, he says, Rays prospect Jake Cronenworth’s body in the aftermath of a spring training fastball earlier this month. Even if Chapman wasn’t quite hitting 103 mph yet, he evidently was throwing hard enough to dent human skin.

Did Chapman tattoo a third ear on his body? Did he put a crater into man? Can you almost make out the stitches?
Welcome to baseball season, which can be enjoyed safely from afar.
