Brad Holt has vaulted to near the top of the Mets’ list of prospects since he was drafted in the supplemental first round by the Amazin’s last June. But since his promotion to Double-A Binghamton at the beginning of June, he has been on a roller coaster ride through the Eastern League. That continued yesterday, when Holt allowed four earned runs in 6.1 innings in a loss to Altoona. Holt now has made eight starts for Binghamton – three have been good/great, three have been mediocre and two have been pretty bad.

Here is a rundown of each of his starts:

June 5: Connecticut: 6.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3K, 3BB

June 27: Akron – 0.1 IP, 3 H, 5 ER, 0 K, 2 BB (Loss)

July 2: New Hampshire – 3.1 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 6 K, 2 BB (Loss)

July 8: Portland – 5.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 10 K, 1 BB (Loss)

July 13: New Britain – 7.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 7 K, 1 BB (Win)

July 18: Erie – 6.2 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 7 K, 2 BB (Win)

July 23: Connecticut – 6.0 IP, 5 ER, 9 H, 3 K, 0 BB

July 28: Altoona – 6.1 IP, 4 ER, 10 H, 1 K, 0 BB (Loss)

Totals: 2-4, 5.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP; 41 IP, 41 H, 25 ER, 37 K, 11 BB
