Once one of the Yankees most promising pitching prospects, right-hander Alan Horne will begin his path back towards regaining that status tonight, as he comes off the disabled list and starts the second game of Double-A Trenton’s doubleheader against Bowie. In three starts for the Thunder this season, Horne is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. After entering last season as the No. 5 prospect in the organization’s system, Horne suffered through various injuries and poor performances, culminating in rotator cuff surgery late last summer.
