It may not have been great, but today’s outing for Alan Horne for Double-A Trenton did show improvement from his first start of the year.

Recovering from rotator cuff surgery on his right arm, Horne allowed three runs on four hits in five innings today, striking out three and walking four. He took a no-decision in Trenton’s 4-3 loss to Bowie in the second half of today’s doubleheader.

Horne entered the season No. 25 on the Yankees Top 30, according to Baseball America, after being No. 5 to start 2008 before suffering through an injury-plagued season.
