TAMPA – On the day of their first full workout, the Yankees set their 40-man roster, making the signings of Brett Gardner and Justin Wilson official, while moving Luis Severino to the 60-day injured list and designating outfielder Greg Allen for assignment.

Severino is rehabbing from last year’s Tommy John surgery and is expected back by midseason.

The lefty Wilson joins the bullpen after spending the previous two seasons with the Mets. Wilson is the third southpaw in the pen, with Zack Britton and Aroldis Chapman, while the Yankees also have Chad Green, Darren O’Day, Luis Cessa and Jonathan Loaisiga from the right side.

Wilson lives in Texas and his arrival in camp was delayed by the weather, since he was forced to drive. Boone said he played catch Tuesday.

“He’s obviously been a good reliever in this league a long time,’’ Boone said. “We love his stuff. We like the makeup. He’s been here and had success before. It’s another good complement to what we hope is a special bullpen.”

Gardner’s future in The Bronx seemed uncertain during the offseason, with the presence of Mike Tauchman, as well as the acquisition of Allen, who arrived in a trade from San Diego in January in exchange for minor league left-hander James Reeves.

But the two sides agreed last week to a one-year deal with an option for a second year.

The signings of Gardner and Wilson leave the Yankees just under $6 million shy of the $210 million luxury tax threshold, according to Spotrac.com.
