According to my colleague George King, Austin Jackson could soon be on his way to the Bronx as a stopgap until Brett Gardner is healthy. Given Jackson’s performance with Scranton/Wilkes Barre, this comes as little surprise. In 94 games with SWB, Jackson is hitting .312 with four homers, 39 RBI and 17 stolen bases in 19 attempts. He also has 20 doubles and five triples, an OBP of .374 and a OPS of .804.

In his last 10 games, though, Jackson is hitting .222 (8-for-36) with 10 strikeouts.
