Even Jake Higginbotham’s Hawaiian honeymoon can’t stop the Braves minor league pitcher from preparing for spring training.
On Tuesday, his wife Summer Gandy shared a TikTok video of Higginbotham doing drills and arm exercises on the beach and in their honeymoon suite.
The former Clemson Tiger also made Gandy, a Falcons cheerleader, play catch with him in the sand. She also filmed his workouts for him to watch back and study.

In her caption, Gandy joked, “Who got more action me or that glove,” adding the hashtag #baseballwife.
Gandy has been documenting the couple’s honeymoon and continues to troll her husband, who she said took two-hour naps after training during the trip.
The newlyweds enjoyed their time in Oahu and finished their honeymoon adventuring in Maui.
Higginbotham and Gandy met at Clemson, where she was a cheerleader, and tied the knot in September 2020.
Higginbotham, a left-handed reliever, missed time with injuries last season but didn’t allow a run over 11 1/3 innings.
