DETROIT — The Martian is about to land in the big leagues.

Jasson Dominguez is expected to join the Yankees on Friday in Houston, with Austin Wells also set to join him, to make their major league debuts, multiple sources told The Post on Wednesday.

The two top prospects will become the latest to join the Yankees’ youth movement over the final month of the season as they get a look at their future with their playoff chances all but over.

The 20-year-old Dominguez just arrived in Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last week but quickly tore up the new level.

In nine games through Wednesday, the switch-hitting outfielder was batting .419 (13-for-31) with a 1.095 OPS, six walks and three strikeouts.

“I’m in the camp that I think he’s going to be a really good player in this league,” manager Aaron Boone said last weekend. “I think he’s a really special talent. After getting off to a little bit of a slow start this year at Double-A, he’s really played well here over the last few months. A guy that obviously impacts the ball and is athletic and can run, but I like the fact that at a very young age, he can really control the strike zone. Hopefully that’s something that when he does get up here, it will really be something that serves him well.”

The 24-year-old Wells, meanwhile, was batting .254 with a .801 OPS across 33 games at Triple-A. The Yankees feel that the left-handed hitting catcher, their first-round pick out of the University of Arizona in 2020, has shown enough progress behind the plate to keep him there, at least for now.

“Coming out of Arizona, there was that mixed bag, ‘Could this guy stay at the position long term?’” Boone said Wednesday before a 6-2 win over the Tigers. “I think he’s shown enough to where he continues to make progress. His receiving has been good. Throwing has still been an issue. I think there seems to be a presence that he has with pitchers. So a pretty good feel back there is my understanding. He’s made enough strides defensively that we feel like it can very much be in play.

“Obviously a lot of people love the bat, [which was] kind of his calling card coming out of Arizona. So we’ll see. We’ll see if he continues to develop at the position to where he can be that guy to be an everyday guy back there. But I think there’s been enough progress that we want to continue to see what he’s capable of back there.”

Active rosters expand on Friday, allowing teams to carry 28 players.

The Yankees likely will have an third roster spot to fill if and when Harrison Bader is claimed on waivers, which would open up center field for Dominguez.

Both Dominguez and Wells will have to be added to the 40-man roster — conveniently, there are two open spots — which they were going to have to do this offseason anyway to protect them from the Rule 5 draft.

Besides starting the season with rookie shortstop Anthony Volpe, the Yankees began injecting youth into their roster last week by promoting left fielder Everson Pereira and infielder Oswald Peraza.

Neither has burst onto the scene in their first handful of games, but the Yankees plan to continue giving them playing time so they can gain valuable experience ahead of next season.

The Yankees can also benefit by getting a better evaluation of their top prospects as they head into the offseason.

“It’s kind of exciting, to be honest,” Gerrit Cole said. “There’s young blood in the house. They’re learning about the big leagues, they’re learning about themselves. You think about back when you were in that position, from my perspective, and what can I do to help those guys out, to help them acclimate as soon as possible and get into the flow of things?

“For them, the expectations, it’s not a lot of high-pressure games right now. At the same time, they’re going to come up and they’re going to bring it. It’s going to be fun to watch. We’re excited to have them and excited to see them get their feet wet.”
