Derek Jeter moved to the top of the Yankees hit list tonight when he rifled a single between Orioles first baseman Luke Scott and the first-base line leading off the third inning at Yankee Stadium. He singled again in the fourth.
Jeter, who whiffed in the first, became the Yankee with the most hits: 2,722 at the time, one more than Lou Gehrig.
