CHICAGO — Derek Jeter will sit out Monday’s game against the White Sox after suffering a bruised middle finger on Sunday.

The Yankees posted their lineup on the team’s Twitter page and it does not include the team’s captain. Jeter was hit by a Jake Arietta fastball in the Yankees’ 4-2 win over the Orioles on Sunday and left in the fourth inning. He is not expected to go on the disabled list.

Eduardo Nunez will start at shortstop and bat eighth for the Yankees.
