The White Sox aren’t done with Josh Donaldson.

After the Yankees third baseman was criticized by Tim Anderson, Tony La Russa, and Liam Hendriks for his “Jackie” remark to Anderson on Saturday, a reference to Jackie Robinson, White Sox reliever Joe Kelly added his thoughts on Monday.

“The guy is a douche,” Kelly said of Donaldson on the “Parkins & Spiegel Show” on 670 The Score in Chicago. “That’s horrible. That’s not tolerated in any kind of sport … Whatever it is, it wasn’t for good intentions.”

Donaldson, who was suspended one game Monday for his remark, said the comment was in reference to a 2019 Sports Illustrated article in which Anderson said he felt like “today’s Jackie Robinson.” Aaron Judge and Aaron Boone both said they felt Donaldson shouldn’t have made the comment.

After Donaldson said the comment was an inside joke between he and Anderson, Hendriks called the explanation “bulls–t” because the two don’t get along.

“Whatever he’s saying, they’re not friends,” Kelly said in the radio interview. “I am half-Mexican. I have plenty of African-American friends, but I would never even say that to my friends that are my boys.”
