Keith Hernandez has been at this broadcasting thing a while, but he might not have the hang of it yet.

Early in Monday’s Mets-Dodgers game, the SNY broadcast had returned from a commercial, but Hernandez apparently thought he still was off the air and let loose with his decidedly un-family-friendly analysis of another game.

While Gary Cohen was discussing Nationals starter Tanner Roark, who gave up six runs in 2 ²/₃ innings against the Marlins on Monday, Hernandez interjected: “Roark’s been getting his tits lit.”

“Yeah, he really has,” Cohen agreed.

Within an hour, the gaffe was all over social media, with Twitter users debating whether it was the kind of classic Hernandez goof that makes the ex-Met so lovable or so lamentable in the booth.
