A few quick updates and the Mets’ lineup for you from Shea Stadium as they complete their series with the first-place Marlins tonight behind Oliver Perez.

— Carlos Delgado isn’t playing again tonight and through a spokesman, he declined a request from the media to speak, which isn’t good. Willie Randolph has now sat Delgado the last two days (with lefties on the mound each night), leading you to wonder if he’s now going to be platooned.

Asked if Delgado wasn’t going to face lefties anymore, Randolph said, “No, I don’t think we’re at that point.” We’ll see.

— Mets PR man Jay Horwitz is wearing the bright orange jacket again. Maybe the luck will continue for a second night.

— Moises Alou sounds optimistic about being able to play next Thursday in San Diego when he’s eligible to come off the DL. He doesn’t think he will need a rehab stint.

— A reminder: Pedro Martinez’s rehab start is tonight in Port St. Luice. If he comes through okay, he is slated to pitch Tuesday in San Francisco.

— As for Ryan Church, he’s not here again. According to Omar Minaya, Church wanted to be at Shea but the Mets kept him away.

The Mets have the same lineup as Tuesday night. It’s interesting that not only is Delgado out again, but so is Brian Schneider:

Jose Reyes SS

Luis Castillo 2B

David Wright 3B

Carlos Beltran CF

Damion Easley 1B

Fernando Tatis RF

Ramon Castro C

Nick Evans LF

Oliver Perez LHP
