Look for Kunz to close

Who is going to get the next crack at closing for the Mets? Well, as the Mets left their clubhouse on Monday to head for a bus and the beginning of road trip that will open in Washington, Eddie Kunz passed by VP of player development Tony Bernazard. Bernazard stopped Kunz, gave him a fist pump and said, “Take advantage of your opportunity. Throw the ball over the middle and let your pitch work.” Translation: You are about to pitch big innings in the majors, let the natural sink on your sinker do its work and don’t over-think your stuff.
