PHILADELPHIA — The Phillies announced that right-hander Kyle Kendrick (0-1, 5.06) will pitch Game 1 of Sunday’s day-night doubleheader against the Mets’ John Maine, who is making his first start since coming back from the disabled list.

Maine has been sidelined since early June with various shoulder problems.
