Matt Harvey made quite a comeback for the Mets in 2015.

For that effort and performance, the right-hander was named the NL Comeback Player of the Year on Thursday, after helping the Mets reach the World Series in his return from Tommy John surgery.

Harvey went 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA this season, throwing 216 innings — the most ever by a pitcher returning from Tommy John surgery.

Harvey’s season ended in disappointment, with the Mets losing Game 5 of the World Series to the Royals after he lobbied to pitch the ninth inning. The Royals rallied for two runs, charged to Harvey, to tie the game before winning in the 12th.

After blowing past 180 innings — the number Harvey’s agent, Scott Boras said was the recommended cutoff in his first season back — Harvey made four postseason starts after curtailing his workload in September.

The Rangers’ Prince Fielder was named the AL Comeback Player of the Year, beating out the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez, among others.
