The Yankees and Brewers are expected to intensify talks tomorrow concerning the Mike Cameron for Melky Cabrera swap. Brewers aren’t against taking Kei Igawa in the deal but want the Yankees to swallow a substantial part of the $12 million owed the left-handed bust.
Yankees have made it clear no arms on the 40-man roster are available.
Brewers are trading Cameron ($10 million this year) to clear money to acquire pitching because that $100 million offered Sabathia was only earmarked for Sabathia.
