SAN DIEGO — The Mets swung a minor-league trade today, acquiring outfielder Jason Dubois from the Cubs’ system for cash.
Dubois, 30, was assigned to Triple-A Buffalo. He had been hitting .302 with 11 homers and 50 RBIs in 91 games this season for Chicago’s Triple-A affiliate in Iowa.
Dubois played in 86 major-league games with the Cubs and Indians from 2004-2005, hitting just .233 with 10 homers and 29 RBIs.
