Sudden offensive juggernauts after their 12-6 win over the Reds in today’s first game, the Mets will try to keep their hitting hot streak alive tonight at Shea in the finale of the doubleheader. The Mets — who have now scored 12 runs in each of their past two games — are giving Moises Alou and Luis Castillo the night off, as well as catcher Brian Schneider.

Resting Schneider allows backup Ramon Castro to get his first action of the season after being activated off the DL on Friday. Castro had been absent since the last week of spring training with a slow-healing hamstring injury.

Willie Randolph is going with this order for the 18-15 Mets:

Jose Reyes SS

Marlon Anderson LF

David Wright 3B

Carlos Beltran CF

Ryan Church RF

Carlos Delgado 1B

Damion Easley 2B

Ramon Castro C

Mike Pelfrey RHP (2-2, 5.27)

The woeful Reds will look like this:

Ryan Freel CF

Jerry Hairston 2B

Ken Griffey Jr. RF

Edwin Encarnacion 3B

Adam Dunn LF

Jeff Keppinger SS

Scott Hatteberg 1B

Paul Bako C

Bronson Arroyo P (1-4, 8.63)
