After bad news on Robinson Cano, the Mets lucked out with Jeff McNeil.

McNeil, who left the second game of Monday’s doubleheader with a calf cramp, is back in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins, batting leadoff and playing right field.

The 27-year-old, who enters Tuesday leading the majors in batting with a .337 average, left the game after the Mets got word that Cano has a torn hamstring. McNeil will see some time at second base in Cano’s absence.

As for Tuesday’s game, Luis Guillorme is at second with J.D. Davis in left.
