Juan Lagares will start for the Mets in center field in Game 3 against the Dodgers Monday night at Citi Field.

With southpaw Brett Anderson on the mound for Los Angeles, Terry Collins went with the right-handed Lagares and his defense, putting Yoenis Cespedes in left and Curtis Granderson in right.

Michael Cuddyer is set to begin the game on the bench, along with lefty swinging Michael Conforto, after a disastrous performance in left in Game 1 in Los Angeles.

Lagares appeared in Game 1 as a defensive replacement in center and grounded out in his only at-bat. He finished a rough 2015 regular season in a 3-for-20 slide.
