The Mets announced the changes to Jerry Manuel‘s staff this morning, with the biggest surprise being the return of Dan Warthen as pitching coach.

Also retained were hitting coach Howard Johnson and bullpen coach Randy Niemann, while third-base coach Razor Shines and catching instructor Sandy Alomar Jr. are being reassigned within the staff.

Fired were bench coach Sandy Alomar Sr. and first-base coach Luis Alicea.
