The Mets have owned the Diamondbacks in Phoenix the past three seasons, but that could change this weekend. Not only is Arizona sending a Murderer’s Row of starters — led by 6-0 Brandon Webb (pictured) — against Willie Randolph’s club the next three days, but Billy Wagner also is concerned about how lifeless the Mets have been playing lately. In the notebook, Jose Reyes’ slow start, both at the plate and in the field, is examined along with updates on Moises Alou and Nelson Figueroa.

The Mets have won three of their past four, but the mood is still one of disappointment. They will try to bounce back starting tonight at 9:40 when John Maine (2-2, 3.58) takes on the Diamondbacks’ Micah Owings (4-0, 3.48).
