Francisco Lindor will be coming to New York with his “Coming to America” replica jacket.

The new Mets shortstop arrived at the spring training complex Thursday morning wearing a Mets jacket like the one Eddie Murphy’s character Prince Akeem Joffer wore in the 1988 cult classic “Coming to America.” The sequel – “Coming 2 America” – is scheduled for release to Amazon on March 5.

“Good morning my neighbors,” the blue-haired Lindor said in a three-second video tweeted by the Mets’ official team account. That is a line uttered by Murphy in the movie.

The blue-and-orange Mets jacket included a lot of classic references to New York City tourism, including an “I heart NY” pin and a “Big Apple” patch.

Mets owner Steve Cohen, who returned to Twitter this week after a brief respite during the GameStop saga, couldn’t help but chime in on Lindor’s fashion statement.

“Where can I get a jacket like that?” Cohen wrote.

Lindor, nicknamed “Mr. Smile,” is one of the most fun-loving athletes in all of pro sports, and has not disappointed in that regard during his first spring training since he was acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Indians.
