The Subway Series is the Mets’ World Series, and they’re acting like it.

The Mets tweaked their rotation, and Jacob deGrom will start Monday in their makeup game against the Yankees.

Mickey Callaway announced the change, as Jason Vargas had been the scheduled starter. DeGrom will pitch on normal rest — which Thursday’s off-day allows — and Vargas’ spot may be skipped.

The All-Star leads the league in ERA and has a 3.67 career mark against the Yankees. Perhaps the Mets will finally manage to get him some run support in a game that may carry a little extra weight.
