Mets phenom Matt Harvey was quoted in a Men’s Journal profile Wednesday saying that he looked up to Yankee star Derek Jeter as the “model” playboy – he bags beautiful women and their mugs don’t end up all over the tabloids.
The right-hander, who started Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game, is now backtracking from that statement.
It really sucks how words get used and completely taken out of context.

Maybe Harvey, 24, was stepping off because he’s currently dating Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Anne Vyalitsyna, a gorgeous blonde he met while attending Rangers games.
He hasn’t exactly been discreet about things, either. Anne V was at the All-Star Parade with him Tuesday and this month he was featured nude in ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue” – something Jeter has never done.
“That guy is the model,” Harvey told Men’s Journal. “I mean, first off, let’s just look at the women he’s dated. Obviously, he goes out – he’s meeting these girls somewhere – but you never hear about it. That’s where I want to be.”
