Mets hire strength coach
The Mets finally found a new strength and conditioning coordinator, naming Brad Andress to the position yesterday.
The 48-year-old spent 2000-08 with the Rockies as their strength coach and quality control administrator. He also spent 10 years in a similar role with the Tigers. He worked in private business as a strength consultant the past two years. Andress replaces Rick Slate, who was let go in December.
