The Mets seem really broken up about their lackluster 2-4 homestand.
Or, maybe, they were looking for a way to forget about losing two of three to the scuffling White Sox.
Noah Syndergaard, Matt Harvey, Kevin Plawecki and Neil Walker, among others, made a quick trip to the Bahamas on their off day on Thursday to go golfing at Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club.
The Bahamas are a short flight from Miami, where the Mets kick off a 10-game trip with a three-game series against the Marlins. Syndergaard is Friday night’s scheduled starter.
Remember: Avid golfer Yoenis Cespedes received some flak last season when he was pulled from Game 4 of the NLCS with a shoulder complaint after having played a round that morning.
If the Mets start winning again, maybe they’ll make more golf trips to paradise.
