METS: Young bounced back from a horrible start against the Marlins in a 13-0 loss on Aug. 8 to pitch
5 2⁄3 shutout innings, allowing eight hits, striking out four and walking four last Tuesday in Cincinnati. He got a no-decision, however, and the Mets lost, 3-0, on Jay Bruce’s walk-off home run. Young is 5-3 with a 4.02 ERA in 13 career starts against the Rockies.
ROCKIES: Chacin, returning from a three-month stay on the disabled list, is making his first start since May 1. That night, he allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 4 2⁄3 innings in a 7-6 loss to the Dodgers. He was optioned to Triple-A the next day and went on the DL soon after. He is 0-0 with a 1.29 ERA in two games (one start) against the Mets.

METS: The Mets have won just one of 11 series since the All-Star break, taking two of three in San Francisco from July 30-Aug. 2.
ROCKIES: Against the NL East this season, the Rockies are 11-16 after last night’s win, with a winning record only against the first-place Nationals (4-3).
