METS: McHugh, who has not started since Sept. 10, has allowed two runs in 3 2⁄3 innings in two relief stints since then. The rookie lasted three innings, allowing one run on three hits in relief of Jeremy Hefner in Thursday’s 16-1 loss to the Phillies. He has never faced the Pirates.
PIRATES: Rodriguez, acquired from the Astros in a July 24 trade, was roughed up by the Brewers on Thursday, giving up four runs on five hits in four innings, but got a no-decision in a 9-7 loss. He is 4-2 with a 2.68 ERA in eight career starts against the Mets, including an 8-1 win on May 2 while with Houston.
