Mike Pelfrey threw his side session today and plans on starting Friday for the Mets against the Giants.
“I’ll make it,” the right-hander said.
Pelfrey underwent an MRI exam Monday after experiencing discomfort in his right shoulder before and after his start against the Phillies on Saturday. The test revealed general tightness in the area.
The Mets pushed back his side session from yesterday to this afternoon for cautionary reasons.
