PHILADELPHIA — Noah Syndergaard was set to pitch for the Mets Saturday night, but instead they needed an ark to leave Citizens Bank Park.

The second game of a series between the Phillies and Mets was postponed by torrential rain, the announcement coming an hour after the originally scheduled first pitch.

The teams will conclude the two-game set Sunday at 1:35 p.m. Saturday’s game will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader Aug. 16 beginning at 4:05 p.m. in Philadelphia, setting up a five-game, four-day, two-city series that concludes in Williamsport, Pa. with the Little League Classic.

Jacob deGrom is still on track to come off the disabled list and start Sunday — weather pending, again — while Syndergaard will be pushed back to Tuesday against the Blue Jays at Citi Field. Zack Wheeler will follow on Wednesday.
