PHILADELPHIA — The Mets were given another 24 hours to bask in their remarkable, come-from-behind victory on Thursday.

For the second straight day, their game with the Phillies was postponed due to rain. Unlike Friday night’s postponement, the teams showed up to the ballpark, but the game was called roughly two hours before first pitch.

They now will play a single-admission doubleheader at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday beginning at 12:35 p.m. This will already be the Mets’ third twin bill of the season. They have swept the previous two.

The Mets’ scheduled starters are Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt, although it’s uncertain who is pitching which game. The Phillies’ scheduled starters are Kyle Gibson and Zach Eflin.

In the series opener on Thursday, the Mets rallied from a six-run, ninth-inning deficit for a thrilling 8-7 win. Friday night’s game will be part of an Aug. 20, split-admission doubleheader when the Mets return to Philadelphia for the last time this season.

James McCann was scheduled to catch Scherzer for the first time this season before the game was called. Manager Buck Showalter has repeatedly said Tomas Nido isn’t Scherzer’s personal catcher and both players will work with the three-time Cy Young award winner.

“Our pitchers know how good Mac and Tomas are, and we’re going to use both of them and make sure it’s a seamless move when one catches or the other catches,” Showalter said. “That’s what we’re trying to develop. Catching is a very taxing position physically, and you better have multiple guys. It’s something we feel comfortable with. I know Max does.”

The Mets claimed infielder Gosuke Katoh off waivers from the Blue Jays on Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse. The 27-year-old Katoh made his major league debut for Toronto on April 9. … The Phillies won’t have the services of shortstop Didi Gregorius (left knee sprain) on Sunday. He was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday and replaced by infielder Bryson Stott. … The Mets entered Saturday night with a season-high six-game lead in the NL East over the Marlins and a seven-game lead over the Phillies and Braves.
