The Mets’ problems are only getting worse, with Pedro Beato headed to the disabled list with elbow tendinitis.

Beato will be replaced by lefty specialist Mike 0’Connor, called up from Triple-A Buffalo.

Beato, who played at Xaverian High School in Brooklyn and was a Rule 5 pick of the Mets, pitched three scoreless innings in Sunday’s 14-inning win in Philadelphia and hasn’t allowed an earned run in his first 17 innings in the majors.
