The Mets placed Bobby Parnell on the 15-day disabled list before Wednesday’s game with circulatory problems in his right middle finger.

Parnell said he will undergo further tests Thursday to determine the cause of the injury, which Parnell said is suspected to be a blood clot.

Jason Bay won’t be at Citi Field until Thursday, so the Mets must play at least one more game without their regular left fielder.

That means Willie Harris is back at the position, and explains why Terry Collins was so enthused about the possibility of Bay’s early return after the Mets dropped the series opener against the Astros and Bay went 4-for-4 with two homers for St. Lucie.
