Mets closer Bobby Parnell landed on the 15 day disabled list with a herniated disc in his neck.

The move is retroactive to July 31.

Wilmer Flores will take Parnell’s spot on the roster. Flores will make his big league debut when he starts at third base at Citi Field Tuesday against the Rockies.
