The Mets still haven’t filled the vacancy in their radio booth, but are targeting veteran broadcaster Wayne Hagin to sit alongside Howie Rose this season, The Post has learned.

Hagin would replace Tom McCarthy, who departed after the season to join the Phillies’ broadcast crew. Hagin has called games for the Athletics, Giants, White Sox, Rockies and Cardinals during a play-by-play career that began in 1981 after a stint at ESPN, where he was among the network’s original hires.

Hagin appears to be the Mets’ second choice, after Tampa Bay broadcaster Andy Freed declined an offer to join the WFAN booth.
