Right-hander Ryota Igarashi has been given his unconditional release by the Mets.

The 32-year-old was 4-1 with one save and a 4.66 ERA in 45 relief appearances this season, his second with the Mets. He was 5-2 in two seasons.

The Mets assigned infielder Valentino Pascucci and right-handers Dale Thayer and Manny Alvarez to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
