BALTIMORE — David Wright can plan on ringing the Liberty Bell in his return to the Mets.

Though Wright is expected to be ready for game action on Saturday when the Mets play in Colorado, club officials plan to wait an additional two days – until Philadelphia – for the team captain to return.

The reasoning behind the delay is a reluctance to have Wright travel from Port St. Lucie, Fla., to Denver and then fly back across country two days later.

Wright, rehabbing from spinal stenosis, is expected to continue minor league rehab games through Thursday or Friday and then rest until rejoining the club in Philadelphia.

Wright has been on the disabled list since April 15.
